Water regulation in mixers
Managing moisture in mixers is an essential step in ensuring the ongoing quality of your concrete production.
For over 50 years, HYDROSTOP has been offering measurement solutions dedicated to different types of concrete and adaptable to all mixer environments. We uphold the philosophy of “the right tool for the right production”, and offer different types of technology for different ranges of concrete.
This long-standing technical experience, acquired in the field and in close contact with producers, gives us genuine expertise in the concrete manufacturing process and its tools.
Our technical solutions:
Our range of control systems comprises three distinct systems: The H500 system, the H2000 system and the HBOX.
Each system is 100% compatible with all measurement technologies and PLC interfaces on the market. We attach particular importance to the choice of measurement technology, so that the customer can benefit from the highest precision at the lowest cost. In addition, we have developed multi-measurement control interfaces that take into account the specificities of low-carbon concrete production.
Different measurement technologies
Resistive |
Microwave |
Wattmètre |
|
The principle |
– Measuring the electrical resistance of concrete. – The variation in electrical resistance is measured the wetter the concrete, the lower the resistance. |
– Concrete moisture measurement by measuring the return signal from the probe |
– Mesure de la puissance absorbée par le malaxeur. |
Advantages |
– Highly precise for dry concrete – Easy to use |
– Highly accurate for BAN/BAP concrete – 1 single slot |
– Simple d’installation – Aucune maintenance – Précis pour les bétons plastiques |
Disadvantages |
– Measurement saturation on BAN/BAP concrete |
– Imprecision on dry concrete |
– Nécessite une variation significative de la puissance absorbée |
Gamme Hydrostop
Regulated via these indicators, or directly operated by any PLC (0-10V or 4-20mA analog communication), the new H5 microwave probe enables precise measurement of concrete plasticity.
Equipped with a temperature sensor, it provides precise visibility of water dosage in the mixer.
It can be used either with HYDROSTOP interfaces or directly by the PLC with its analog interface..
